This article shows two tips to help you keep up with new posts and increase visibility of important posts.
Tip #1: Setting up Notification Preferences:
It is important to understand the settings for Notifications in Teams. These Notifications can be set to alert you when new posts are made to your important channels. Here is how the settings work:
When done with your changes, click the Save button to make them your default for your Channels.
Tip #2: Pinning a Post in a Channel:
You may have some important posts that you want to highlight so they are more noticeable to your Channel members. Pinning the posts is an easy way to do that. Here's how:
1. To pin a post, click the 3-dot ellipsis that is positioned at the right side of the top of that post, and click Pin.
2. You will see this pop-up. Click Pin to confirm:
3. All channel members will see the pin for the post. It will have a green bar to its left, and a green Pin icon at its right side:
[Note: To remove the pin, go back to Step 1, but click Unpin].
All channel members can click the Information icon (small i ) at the top right of the channel to see all pinned posts listed. Click on a post in that list to open it.
