Degree: There are a couple of things to consider before making the full change of switching your degree (i.e. MDIV to MA, BA to BS). The first is to make sure that all of your credits will be able to apply to the new degree. You can check this by going to selfservice.sebts.edu, hovering over the Registration tab, and clicking on “What If.” This page allows you to create potential Academic Plans and see how your completed credits would apply to them. If you have questions about this, please set up a meeting with your advisor.
Second, if you are receiving Financial Aid, be aware that this aid may change once you have switched degrees. If you are uncertain about where you stand on this, we encourage you to reach out to our Financial Aid office at financialaid@sebts.edu.
Ultimately, to go through the process of changing your degree, please complete this form: https://apply.sebts.edu/register/degreechange. A degree change will take effect in the term following the one in which it is submitted. This process is overseen by the Admissions office, so if you have any questions along the way, the best person to contact would be the Admissions Advisor for the degree you want to change into.
