This article shows some of the screen layout changes that come with our new version of CampusNet.  It points out some changes and how to make adjustments to your liking.

[You may notice that the icons shown in your course are somewhat larger than before, so the screen has a different look. However, all the same information is there as it was before the new version].

When you open a course in CampusNet, you may see a screen that has no left or right menu panels.  If you hover over the menu icon at the left and the left arrow icon on the right, you will see the icon labels appear (as shown below):

Clicking the left menu icon will open the course index which contains the weekly sections:

Clicking the arrow near the right top will open the block drawer:

The block drawer shows the various blocks in your course (course activities, Panopto block, latest news block, etc.):

When you are viewing the screen with larger fonts, you will only see either the left or right panel expanded (as in the previous two images above).  However, if you want to see both panels expanded at the same time (see image below), decrease your screen size by using the zoom function shortcut ("Ctrl -" in Windows or "Option Command -" on Mac).  Once you do this a few times, both panels will appear.  [To get back to the default zoom setting, use ("Ctrl 0" in Windows or "Option Command 8" on Mac)].

[If you leave the zoom setting the same, both sections will appear when you open your course the next time].

New Menu Arrangement:

The menus for courses have been rearranged.  Here are the new locations:

For Course instructors and assistants: 

The following sections show how to move sections on your course:  

To move items in your course, turn the "Edit mode" switch on at the top right near your profile image in the blue bar.

Quick Method:

Click the "Open course index" icon near the top left of your course:

-Click and drag the four arrows icon just to right of item you want to move and drag it to the week you want:

Alternate Method:

-With Edit mode on, click the 3-dot elipsis Menu on the right side of the item you want to move.

-Click "Move"

-Expand the week where you want to move it.

-Click the location in the week where you want it to be placed.

The moved item will be placed below the location you selected.
