On occasion you may want to embed an image directly onto a course section. The steps below show how to do this and add a caption, if desired, on a Windows computer:
- When looking at the original image source on your computer, right-click it and select Save image as and put it into a location in your computer files.
- In the course: Click Turn editing on then go to the week you want and click Add an activity or resource
- Click the Label icon and drag the file from Windows File Manager into the Label text section.
[Note that the dragging method is much simpler than using the "Insert or edit image" icon].
- If you want a caption over the image, press the Enter key on your keyboard to add a blank line (or lines) above the image for the description.
- Click your mouse above the image and type in the heading you want. (You can use formatting and spacing so that it looks like what you want).
- Click Save and return to course
- You should see the image and heading on your course page (example below):
- NOTE: If you want to adjust the size of the image:
- Turn editing on (if not on already) and go to the course section with the image.
- Click the small Edit pulldown to the right of the image at the top, and click Edit settings.
- Double-click the image to open the Image properties window.
- Change the two numbers in the boxes to adjust the width and height. (Leave Auto size selected to keep the size proportional].
- When done, click Save image and Save and return to course.
- NOTE: If you want to adjust the size of the image:
