No. The applications for financial aid and admittance to Southeastern are separate processes, so you do not need to be admitted into The College at Southeastern to apply for financial aid. Furthermore, many scholarships have a very early application deadline, and you should not wait until being officially admitted to apply.
Scholarship deadlines for the upcoming school year can start as early as December. Specifically, the Institutional Financial Aid application window for the academic year is December 1st-January 31st. The Institutional Financial Aid application window for the spring semester is September 1st-September 30th. To be eligible for institutional financial aid, both your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) and Institutional Financial Aid application must be complete by these deadlines. External scholarships have their own deadlines and requirements. We encourage you to research opportunities for which you are eligible to know what dates you should be aware of.
