The following steps will show you how to change the Grade Scale for your course to something other than the site default values.

Note: it is important for the grade scale information in your syllabus to match the scale used for the course in CampusNet.

1. Log in to CampusNet and open the course you want to edit.

2. In the left menu pane, select Grades and click the pull-down at the top of the screen and select Letters edit.

Note: If the Override check box at the top is not checked, you are viewing the site default grade scale.

3. To change the scale, click the Override site defaults check box.

4. It's best to clear all the Grade letter boxes before entering your changes.

5. Enter the Grade letters in the left column and the lower limit of each in the right column.

For example, if you were entering a simple 10 point-type grade scale, the columns would be as follows:

[NOTE: Entering the limits this way (with following zeroes) ensures the system will round up grades properly].

A89.50000
B79.50000
C69.50000
D59.50000
F.0000

6. When done, click Save changes.

7. You will view a table with the Highest and Lowest percentages and the associated Letter.

8. If all is correct, you are done.  If you need to change something else, click Edit grade letters, make your changes and Save changes again.

9. If you want to go back to the site default grades, simply uncheck the Override site defaults checkbox and click Save changes again.
