You can override the allowed dates for taking a quiz or exam for a particular student, in case you want to allow the student to take it at a time different from the quiz settings (for example if the student misses a quiz for illness, etc.).

NOTE: Click the question mark bubbles when editing your course for more detailed information for the various settings.

Setting a Quiz Override for a Student:

1. Log in to CampusNet and go to the course page you want to edit.

2. In the Activities menu on the right, click Quizzes

3. In the Name column, click the quiz name you want to override.

4. Click the gear icon on the right and click User overrides.

5. Click the Add user override button.

6. You can search for a user name in the Override user Search box, or click the small arrow on the right side of it.

7. Click the name of the user you want.

8. Change the dates and times for Open the quiz and/or Close the quiz settings as needed for this user. [The Require password field is normally left blank].

9. If a Time limit is desired, click the Enable check box and set the amount of time you want. [See the Help icon on the left].

10. Adjust the Attempts allowed number as desired.

11. Click Save (or Save and enter another override, if you need to override settings for another student).

12, Upon saving, you will see the list of overrides.  You can use the trash can icon on the right to make deletions, or the gear icon to adjust the override settings again.

Important Note: Keep in mind that if you make changes to the Timing in the overall quiz settings (for everyone), the user overrides you entered for that quiz remain in effect unless you change or delete them as needed.
