NOTE: Click Moodle's question mark bubbles for more detailed information for the various settings.

  1. Change Name or Description fields as needed.
  2. The settings in most sections are typically left at the defaults, but it is important to set the assignment dates and times:
    1. Go to the Assignment Part 1 section.  [Note: If you have created a multi-part assignment in the top section, you will see settings for each part].
    2. Set the Start Date and time for the assignment to appear so students can access it.
    3. Set the Due Date and time, which will close the assignment to students.
    4. Set the Post Date and time, which is when students will be able to see the graded assignment.  (The Post Date must be after the Due Date and should allow time for the instructor's review, comments and grading of the assignment).
  3. The rest of the settings are normally left at their default state.  If you have questions about other settings after checking the Help icons, you can contact the Distance Learning department.
